R.I.P. Margaret Olley.

"On Monday, Olley put the final touches on more than two dozen works, which were due to be sent for photography  for the upcoming catalogue .

Early on Monday evening, (Phillip)Bacon(Gallery) said goodbye and went to Sydney airport to return home to Brisbane. The following morning, Olley was found at seven o'clock, having died peacefully in her sleep.
"She relaxed and went to bed with her paint brushes practically in her hand," Bacon said.
Olley was remembered yesterday as an artist, a friend and a mentor, but most significantly as a patron of the arts.
Known mostly for her colourful still lifes and intimate interiors, Olley was born on June 24, 1923." The Australian
