10th Annual Oatlands Spring Festival.

The 10th Annual Oatlands Spring Festival
went down a treat yesterday. OK the weather wasn't perfect but it didn't sleet & it was a little warmer than the day before & word is out that it is one of the finest regional village festivals in Tasmania.


Thousands of people enjoyed all that was on offer.



The gallery was humming with people all day .

 The opening of the mill is really causing a stir ..............of flour, sugar and butter etc........  thanks to FLATPACKBACKERS we have our very own Oatlands inspired treats !

BIG NEWS !

The Historic Callington Flour Mill in its new refurbished and functioning state is opening to the public on Monday 4th October.............
The mill hasn't been in working order since the 1920's and it will be the only functioning stone grinding wind powered flour mill in the southern hemisphere.

Guided tours will be happening several times a day, so you  can get an indepth & inside view of the runnings and history...........
