Well even though some of us live a very long way from the fashion capitals of the world, thanks to the WWW we can still get a dose.

In my own glass work I am very influenced and inspired by haute couture - the lines, the moods, the patterns and textures.

And oh how I'd love to see a bit more of the above strolling down High Street Oatlands !!

As of course you already know, here in the gallery @ 3 Windows in Oatlands we have a mezzanine overflowing with vintage clothing, accessories & collectibles. Most of our collection is a little more modern than these exquisite pieces above that I found on ebay coming from a castle in France.

OH how I would love some bits like these to add to the collection, but they are rather hard to come by in Australia, especially. The oldest piece we have available at the moment is an ealy 1900's black long ruffled , oiled cotton, under skirt.

The beautiful leather bags at the top are of fab quality and colours( sorry the picture just doesn't do them justice) the designs are practical and groovy to boot, from roomy to compact & the colours are gorgeous......juicy orange, lush purple, warm red & earthy lime.

The cute creatures above are made by Clair of Baby Boudoir, she is from the north coast of Tasmania, she also makes heirloom patchwork blankets......all made from recycled vintage fabrics....and also make your own lettered bunting.....all available from us here in Oatlands....
