Autumn at 3 Windows

Things are winding down for the cooler season but the gallery is still full of irresistible trinkets & wares.

The Smitten Tasmanian Made Merino Wear Department has grown, more colours & designs on the fab new rack.

The gorgeous Glazed & Confused Ceramic Ladies who are created in Hobart are a new edition to the 3 Windows family, here we have Bette, Delora, Eve & Laverne.

We have a lovely range of Tasmanian made badges, brooches, hairclips & earrings, just whats needed to to brighten up your winter wardrobe.

Callington Mill a Go Go ....

Yes it's all go here in Oatlands with work on the flour mill at full tilt....

The millwright & all his workmanshipped components arrived form England at the end of April and the work has been progressing steadily since.

We are very lucky to have such a skilled & experienced craftsman to be working with our community.

Callington Mill is due to be open around the middle of July this winter, Tasmanian farmers are currently trialing the growth of tradtional & heirloom grains such as spelt to be ground here in Oatlands and should you wish to taste the final product of fantastic woodfired REAL sourdough breads  even before the mill is completed..... Campanion Bakery is now open in Oatlands.

Definately worth a drive to Oatlands to get your teeth into this amazing bread.. oh and of course a bit of retail therapy at 3 Windows Gallery whilst you're in town !

Smitten Merino Wear ....... fine pure wool clothing designed & made in Hobart...... it comes in a range of classic, simple & totally wearable designs - wrap dresses, cardigans, scoop neck tops & tunics etc etc etc.

The fabric is light & very insulating, great for layering..... they actualy started out a making adventure wear ....... & have just nabbed a contract to supply those at the Antarctic Outpost...... so just right for our Tassie winter .....though not at all heavy, they are also easy wash & made to last. 

We have been selling Smitten at 3 Windows Gallery for a few months now & it is proving very popular ..... there is a huge colour range from earthy tones to lush berries & brights to modern stripes & moody greys, navy & purples.

                    I think I've been working too hard ,stuck in the shop & studio & keep dreaming about all the things I haven't got !!!     Not good ...... so I thought I'd get it out of my system with a bit of an airing on the blog & some images to drool over.........

    

The Allanah Hill Autumn/Winter 2010 Range is now showcased on her most gorgeous website ( & to think she hails from Penguin, Tasmania) I'd love to have one of everything from the collection  .......

A night of assiette dining at Piccalilly in Battery Point, Hobart would be divine.....

Oh and a revamped studio would be sure to get the work ethic back on track.......
